About Me

Lan Rui Yoga / Lorraine

I am a qualified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher – Yoga Alliance 300.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and teaching for over 15 years. I find yoga a great way to release any stress or tension in the body whilst also calming my mind.

Yoga is a comprehensive practice designed to increase flexibility, tone, strengthen the core, soothe the mind and nourish the soul.

I am a dedicated yoga instructor who enjoys teaching all, regardless of age, level of fitness or yoga experience.

  • BA Hons Degree in Business & German

  • Certified Yoga Teacher – Ashtanga Vinyasa (RYT 200)

  • Certified Natural Movement / MovNat Instructor (MCT)

  • Certified Deep Tissue & Holistic Massage Therapist

I have always enjoyed your classes finding them physically stimulating, not to say challenging in some positions.    When I had a long period without classes (covid/moving house etc.) I could definitely feel that I was deteriorating and whilst deterioration is inevitable at some stage regular yoga keeps it at bay.  It is also mentally relaxing because classes require concentration.  I always feel better after a class than I did before it so thank you.

Why do I practise yoga? 

Because I really enjoy having an hour where all I think about is what I'm doing right at that moment. 

Because you are so encouraging and positive and give adaptations to suit individual need. 

Because it makes my body feel stronger and I always feel like I've worked hard. 

Because each week is different, whilst still being based on the same type of movements.
